I’ve been a music lover and collector my entire life. In my adulthood I became an avid collector of vinyl, with a focused interest on the under-heard, lesser-known records, or “rare groove” as it’s commonly referred. When you chase the rarest music, you run into a problem. The records are out of print, and the ones available are usually in poor condition and unsuitable for a DJ gig. In college I learned about archival record labels like Light In The Attic and Numero Group. These labels would physically track down these artists and work with them to get their music reissued at the highest quality for a whole new generation of listeners. It was a lightbulb moment for me, the coolest thing I could ever imagine getting to do.

So, with nothing but google as my guide, I asked myself “how hard could it be?”
